Narine Poladian is an Armenian-Lebanese stone artist and khachkar carver based in Gyumri, Armenia. After moving to Armenia in 2018, Narine dedicated herself to learning and preserving the ancient Armenian tradition of khachkar carving. As a woman working in a traditionally male-dominated craft, she is proud to contribute to preserving this unique cultural heritage through my handmade stone art. Through her work, she aims to keep Armenian traditions alive and pass them on to future generations. Alongside creating khachkars and Armenian-inspired stone art, Narine organizes workshops and master classes both in Armenia and internationally, bringing people closer to Armenian culture and allowing them to experience the beauty of carving in stone firsthand. By sharing this ancient craft with communities around the world, she hopes to spread awareness of Armenia’s rich cultural heritage, strengthen connections with the Armenian diaspora, and inspire people of all backgrounds to discover, appreciate, and help preserve this centuries-old tradition.
